Sandeman Porto Tawny 20 Jahre wird nach der traditionellen Portwein-Methode hergestellt. Die ausgewählten Trauben werden vor der Gärung bei kontrollierter Temperatur entrappt und zerkleinert, mit Schalenmazeration, um die besten Bestandteile zu extrahieren. Die Zugabe von Weinalkohol zum idealen Zeitpunkt stellt die Balance zwischen Körper und Bouquet des Weines her. Dieser Zeitpunkt wird vom Winzer unter strenger Kontrolle der Temperaturen und Gärungsdichten je nach Rebsorte, Reifegrad und gewünschter Endsüße gewählt.

Es ist ein Wein von großer Fülle mit einer eleganten Geschmackskombination – Aprikose, Honig, Trockenfrüchte, Vanille, Karamell – die einen sehr komplexen Wein entstehen lässt, der sich sanft öffnet und im Mund entfaltet.
